THE Peacehaven and District Chamber of Commerce is predominantly a business networking group, with a little extra.
By being a member you will enjoy many benefits. For as well as the Chamber being a voice for local businesses on issues that are important to you, membership also opens up a wealth of free essential business information including a busy events diary with great networking opportunities, speakers and workshops.
The Chamber hosts seminars and workshops with guest speakers on issues as diverse as; how to help you make more money, reduce stress, save time, give you a greater understanding of current business practice plus tips and advice which will assist you in the smooth running of your business.
These sessions are extremely popular and well supported. For as well as listening to the experts you also have a great opportunity to network and speak with like-minded people.
Early birds are welcome to join our weekly breakfast networking meetings. Although structured, Breakfast Club meetings give you the chance to meet new clients and suppliers in a relaxed, friendly and informal atmosphere whilst at the same time enjoying a hearty breakfast.
The Breakfast Club meets at the White Schooner, South Coast Road every Tuesday morning from 7 - 8.30 am.

And to cater for people who prefer a less structured approach to networking, informal networking evenings are held at The Dewdrop Inn, Steyning Avenue, Peacehaven on the second Wednesday of each month from 6.00 pm - 8.00pm. Our next informal networking session takes place on Wed 13th August 2008

Our Content Management Systems Key Fearures: 

Our Web based Content Management System has been built entirely in-house, and from scratch, allowing us to customise it to meet literally any bespoke requirement. The base system as it stands meets a wide range of common CMS requirements but in our opinion no “off the shelf” packing will ever meet all requirements. For this reason we offer bespoke development services with our CMS solutions so that we may fully meet your requirements what ever they may be.

The following features are already present in the existing CMS software*:

WebEdit
A unique feature providing full yet easy to use content management from the front end of every single web page of your site. The WebEdit Login can be accessed with just a few key strokes (i.e. by pressing escape 3 times) from any web page across the entire web site.

Central Site-Wide Web Control Panel
Your entire website (including any sub-sites / sub divisional areas) can be managed from a single secure web based control panel. With all aspects from the web pages themselves to the modules used across the website being control via one simple to use interface (NOTE: security access rules apply to this single interface).

Content Level Security Control
Individual content blocks on each web page can be opened or closed up to content editors providing complete control over which website administrators change which areas of the website

Page/Folder Level Security Control
Individual pages or groups of pages (grouped by folder) can be opened or closed up to content editors providing complete control over which areas of the website can be changed by which administrators.

Role Base Security
Our CMS is based on a secure Role Based Security model where Roles (or Groups) are setup with appropriate permissions and Website Administrations (or Users) are assigned to them so that they may obtain the necessary access to different aspects of the website and/or CMS features.

Website Hierarchy Control
Both your website’s physical and logical structure can be fully controlled by way of a Windows Explorer style interface within your website’s central control panel.

Web Page Creation
New web pages can be created for any area of your website based on flexible and extendible layout templates. Page numbers are unlimited and unlike some content management systems each web page forms its own entity within the structure of your website.

Layout / Content Separation
Your website content and its surrounding design are kept completely separate. This allows for enhanced search facilities and for design switching with very little effort.

Content Sharing
Due to the separation between content and layout individual blocks of content can be shared between pages where appropriate. In these scenarios content can be changed across multiple areas of your website with just one change being required.

Web Page Privacy Control
Web pages can be marked as private and only certain website visitors granted access to them based on Membership rules.

Web Page Meta Data Control
Each page can carry it’s own Meta Data for enhanced Search Engine Optimisation which can be controlled via the central control panel.

Web Page Layout Control
A variety of common web page layouts (i.e. Single, 2 Columns, 3 Columns, 1 x 3 Columns, 2 x 4 Columns etc…) can be created to suite your business or web content. These layout templates provide control across websites with multiple content editors to ensure the final user experience is consistent.

Web Page Design Template Control
Your website can have multiple Design Templates associated with it to combine flexibility with control over how the different areas of your website look and feel. With this approach you retain control over how the site is structured but have the flexibility of creating different areas of that carry a distinct feel.

Full Word Processing Features
Both WebEdit and the central Control Panel provide common word processing features as found in MS Word, Outlook and other commonly used desktop products (i.e. Font formatting, Image Manipulation, Hyperlink Embedding and so on…).

Content Spell Checking
All content blocks can be checked for spelling online against a range of multilingual dictionaries and suitable alternatives to miss-spelt or unknown words offered to the website editors.

Application/Enquiry Form Management
Data capture with subsequent database storage from forms published across your website.

Central Image Archive
A central web based location exists for all corporate images. Images can be uploaded to this central location for inclusion across the entire website or in suitable areas where security rules apply.

Image Processing/Optimisation
To achieve the best possible performance all images run through our online image processing which optimises them on the fly for the web environment. This process ensure that they are as small in download size as they can be while at the same time retaining image quality.

Central Document Archive
A central document archive is available for controlling your online documents or artefacts. A single document may appear for viewing or downloading in many places access your website with just a single copy existing in the source archive.

Navigation & Menu Management
Our CMS provides full control over all navigation menu systems, from standard link lists to full interactive pop-out or drop down menus with all navigation options being controlled via our easy to use Menu Manager.

Flexible and Powerful Site Search
A flexible site search can be integrated into an website which can provide visitors with the power to search through any public area of your website with ease.

Site Mapping
Site maps can easily be built using the CMS tools which provide visitors with a logical navigation route through to the information that they are looking for.

Flash/Applet Integration
Our CMS is based on XHTML standards and as such can carry any form of Flash, Web Object or Applet for really feature rich browsing experiences.
